Jeddah has a desert environment, warm to scorching daytime temperatures and milder winters. Unlike other Saudi Arabian towns, Jeddah retains pleasant temperatures throughout the winter, ranging from 15°C (59°F) in the early morning to 28°C (82°F) in the afternoon. Summers are sweltering, with daytime temperatures topping 40°C (104°F). Rainfall is scarce in Jeddah, particularly during the summer, and the city remains dry most of the year. 

Jeddah is three hours ahead of the U.K. This means that at 12:00 p.m. in London, it is 3:00 p.m. in Jeddah. During daylight saving time in the UK, the time difference might change, resulting in a +2 hour difference between the two sites.

Before travelling to Jeddah, you should know the local customs and laws. Saudi Arabia adheres to strict Islamic regulations, and tourists are required to observe local customs and traditions. In public, women must dress modestly, wearing an abaya (a long, loose-fitting robe) and covering their hair with a headscarf. Public displays of affection, alcohol usage, and other behaviours considered insulting or unsuitable in Islamic culture are strictly prohibited.
